What is SLAPS?

The SLAPS program is a community driven resource, under the Florida Engineering Society, that offers free academic enrichment to students. SLAPS currently offers 16 courses where students can attend a session to. These sessions are held once a week and are typically in a study room at Marston or Library West. It offers an open, community-driven, and discussion-based environment in which all students can utilize the reserved space to do homework together, share study techniques, or ask questions as needed.

How It Works

All SLAPS mentors are dedicated, hardworking student volunteers who have previously taken or currently excel in their subject matter of choosing. Once a week, mentors host sessions similar to office hours. Any student can drop in to ask questions, do their homework, or even review past quizzes/tests, both with the mentors and with other students. This resource is perfect for students who enjoy learning with others or need material explained in a different manner.
